This item is part of a series of letters of application for positions at the Bass Biological Laboratory and Zoological Research Supply Company, primarily secretary and technician positions. The Bass Biological Laboratory was a functioning research laboratory as well as a biological collecting and field station. The lab was located in Englewood, Florida, and operated during the 1930s and 1940s along with its profit-making subsidiary called the Zoological Research Supply Company. This letter to John F. Bass Jr. discusses a technician position and the establishment of a supply department at the lab. |
