dc.description.abstract This report describes a two year project where tropical Pacific shrimp were cultured in ponds under different conditions utilizing seawater with commercial feed and a mixture of seawater and secondarily treated wastewater as a nutrient source. During this study, the tissue of the shrimp were examined for nutritional value and the waters were analyzed for detection of organic and inorganic contaminants and bacterial contamination. These experiments were carried out to, in part, determine the feasibility of commercially culturing shrimp by partially or completely replacing prepared feed with treated wastewater. en
