dc.description.abstract This report describes a project which took place from 2003-2007 where twenty-four individual smalltooth sawfish were fitted with acoustic tags for long-term monitoring of residency. This was done to obtain information on their critical habitats and movement patterns, in an effort to implement conservation measures. Preliminary monitoring results indicated that juveniles have high levels of site fidelity for specific nursery areas for periods up to almost three months, but over the longer term had low levels of fidelity. en
