dc.description.abstract This report describes a 2001 project involving the assessment of the impact of hatchery-released red drum fish in Biscayne Bay, Florida. Objectives were to determine if hatchery-released fish were reproductive, collect tissue samples from the caudal fin of juvenile red drum to determine if they were offspring of hatchery-released red drum, to monitor fish movement and survival, to continue an angler-based fish information and sample return program, incorporate expert anglers volunteers to monitor and sample red drum, and to sustain the angler outreach program to educate and promote project awareness. en
