dc.description.abstract This item is part of a series of correspondence, business records, and information relating to the manufacture and distribution of shark products. For a few years beginning in 1938, most of the shark products distributed from the supply company were produced under the name Genuine Shark Products. This memorandum on shark fisheries contains excerpts from several reports, including the Daily Consular and Trade Reports, No. 3702, February 1910, p. 13 and No. 40, February 1912, p. 716. Excerpts also include Commerce Reports No. 138, June 13, 1918, p. 1007, and the Bureau of Fisheries Document No. 847, p. 56. Topics include the 'shark-fin trade,' 'shark's liver oil industry proposed,' sharks abundant- Mexican west coast,' and 'Alaska fisheries and fur industry in 1917.' en
