dc.description.abstract	This item is part of a series of correspondence, business records, and information relating to the manufacture and distribution of shark products. For a few years beginning in 1938, most of the shark products distributed from the supply company were produced under the name Genuine Shark Products. A number of these records refer to dogfish, a term which today can refer to a number of different types of sharks. This letter to the Chamber of Commerce in Currituck, North Carolina, requests information on dogfish shark prices.	en

Zoological Research Supply Company Papers
The Zoological Research Supply Company was the profit-making subsidiary of the Bass Biological Laboratory. The activities of both the Laboratory and the Zoological Research Supply Company were closely intertwined. The records in this collection derive from the operations of the ZRS, which supplied specimens to schools and laboratories throughout the country.
