Abstract:

This item is part of a series of correspondence, business records, and information relating to the manufacture and distribution of shark products, especially shark livers. For a few years beginning in 1938, most of the shark products distributed from the supply company were produced under the name Genuine Shark Products. This letter to Stewart Springer includes a species identification list, which mentions Phyllanthus parvicima, Flabellum australe, and Melo flummen, among others.
