dc.description.abstract This report describes a research project with an objective to increase the reporting of sawfish encounters by fishing guides in Florida by the use of a reporting logbook. The logbook was utilized by some, but not all, fishing guides to whom they were provided. Data returned by cooperating guides was improved by use of the forms. Data provided by the logbooks was incorporated in the Mote Marine Laboratory Sawfish Encounter Databases to assist with determination of the current range and habitat use of smalltooth sawfish. en
