Atmospheric contributions of material to estuaries and their watersheds have been largely ignored. Selected case studies indicate that atmospheric deposition of nitrogen can comprise substantial portions of an estuarine nutrient budget. Pollutants monitored were: nitrogen, phosphorus, copper, lead, and zinc. |
