Abstract

This report describes a study to identify types of environments within the Manatee River Estuary System that are utilized by, and therefore presumably important as habitat to, recreationally or commercially valuable juvenile fishes. To accomplish this, the habitats were classified and the habitat categories were sampled on a replicated basis throughout the study area during September - November 1989 to identify the nursery habitat relationships.
