dc.description.abstract This report describes activities of Mote Marine Laboratory's Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Site Program. The research objective is to characterize patterns of calcitonin and calcitonin receptor expression in tissues of female atlantic stingrays. This study was intended to provide new tools for investigating the role of calcitonin in reproduction of cartilaginous fishes. en
