Abstract:
This report describes the progress during the third quarter of the FY-2007-2008 cooperative program between the FWC-FWRI and Mote that is designed to focus on specific red tide research areas that are of critical concern to the State of Florida, in cooperation with other on-going HAB
initiatives. The overall purpose is to determine and quantify the multiple causes of the Florida red tide initiation, development, transport and termination and to provide science-based information
to assist resource managers and public health officials to make informed decisions directed toward reducing the adverse effects of red tide. The project components were developed around a series of three organizational goals:Goal 1.
