Turkey Creek project: sediment grain size and composition analyses.

Abstract

This letter forms Mote Marine Laboratories Technical Report No. 1281, MML- Chemical- Ecology- 080722- 4. Accompanying this letter are a compact disc with an excel-based data file, Turkey_080722.xls, and data print outs of the 16 Turkey Creek Project sediment samples which Mote has processed for grain size and % organics. Samples were delivered to Mote on July 11,2008. Data are in the same format as previously supplied. The sheets titled "Analytical Data" have a flat file format for data base import. Subsequent sheets have Quality Assurance information, summaries of sample percent moisture and organics, and a final sheet, "Analytical Data 2" in which multiple parameters are arranged in row format by sample. Data qualifier codes consist of DEP-accepted designations, and include "U" for less than the stated detection limit and PQL to indicate that the stated value is between the detection limit and a value four times greater. Data quality standards included continuing calibration standards falling within 90-1 J 0% of known values, and precision targets with 20% RSD or less or within 2 detection limits.
