The manatee research program contracted with Dr. Lori Schwacke, who has expertise in epidemiology, biometry, and modeling in order to analyze existing aerial survey and photo-identification databases in Charlotte Harbor and Sarasota County waters. The results will be used to reach decisions for future programs in manatee conservation and management.
