dc.description.abstract A major goal of the 1988 program is to increase the volume of Ptychodiscus brevis cultures. The reasons for this are: to provide cultures for toxicity studies with fish to determine the toxicity of P.brevis to different species as well as to different life stages of fish; to provide cultures for aerosol studies to determine type and concentration of airborne toxins; and to determine the toxins associated with various growth phases of P. brevis. en_US
