Abstract:
The ecological interactions of red tides with the environment and other marine organisms has long been an area of interest, specifically concerning factors that affect bloom initiation, propagation and termination (Steidinger, 1983). In addition to nutrient supply and water quality parameters, the interaction of the red tide organism, G. breve, with other marine phytoplankton may provide important insight to red tide bloom dynamics.
