Abstract:
The Marine Habitat Research and Restoration Program initiated by the Florida Department of Natural Resources (FDNR) commenced with the contract finalization on July 15, 1986. Mote Marine Laboratory (MML) and Mangrove Systems, Inc. (MSI) then began implementation of the program. The first quarter of the project covered the months of July, August and September 1986. This report summarizes the events which were conducted for each task during the first quarter; the tasks include: Site Selection; Water Quality; Planting and Monitoring; Sediments; Macroinfauna; Meiofauna; Fisheries and Tide Gages.
