dc.description.abstract This study was undertaken as part of an attempt to understand the migration and stock identity of the king mackerel, Scomberomorus cavalla, in the Gulf of Mexico. The NOAA/NMFS Southeast Fisheries Center's (SEFC) Panama City Laboratory, under the MARFIN Program, contracted with Mote Marine Laboratory (MML) to work with the Mexican Instituto Nacional de la Pesca (INP) in conjunction with the Mexus-Gulf Agreement to report historical landings data and other pertinent information, to obtain specimens for electrophoresis, and to tag king and Spanish mackerel at specific Mexican locations. en_US
