Abstract

Part of the attempt to understand the migration and stock identity of the king mackerel, 'Scomberomorus cavalla, the NOAA/NMFS Southeast Fisheries Center's (SEFC) Panama City Laboratory has contracted with Mote Marine Laboratory (MML) to work with the Mexican Instituto Naciona1 de 1a Pesca (INP) to report historical landings data and other pertinent information, obtain specimens for electrophoresis and tag king mackerel in specific Mexican locations.
