Participation in synoptic surveys and contributions to FWC survey efforts in Brevard County. Final report.

Abstract

The primary goal of this project was to provide support to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) by conducting yearly synoptic surveys of manatees, and survey/telemetry efforts in Bervard County, Florida. The second goal was to assist FWC with providing aerial survey data and verbal consultation, particularly during preparation for capture events, to FWC staff. Mote staff also attempted to locate an FWC animal (without success) with a defunct satellite tag while surveying the east coast.
