Photo-identification and genetic sampling studies of manatees in southwestern Florida. Final report.

Abstract

The priorities of this project were to continue collaborative efforts to fully integrate the statewide photo-identification data into the Manatee Photo-Identification System (MIPS); to make significant progress on image analyses and share Mote's sighting data with partner organizations so that updated survival estimates can be calculated through winter 2009-2010; and to continue field work to perpetuate the long-term photo-identification and other data collection efforts in southwestern Florida.
