This article appears in Mote News from the Winter, 1994 issue, Charlotte Harbor - Back to our Roots. It discusses fishery studies conducted at Mote Marine Laboratory and describes tarpon research and the different methods used for tagging and tracking their movements and activities in the Charlotte Harbor, Florida area, primarily at Boca Grande.
