dc.description.abstract Pharmacokinetic studies of drugs used in endangered and threatened sea turtles are extremely limited. This study was undertaken to provide a drug dosage for sea turtles for ticarcillin, a semi-synthetic anti-pseudomonal beta-lactam antibiotic. Three captive loggerhead sea turtles were used in four trials, one intravenous and three intramuscular, to determine the pharmacokinetic properties of single dose ticarcillin in the species. Activities of the project and results are described. en_US
