dc.description.abstract This project was designed to determine Vallisneria americana habitat faunal utilization within the Caloosahatchee River in Florida, east of the US41 bridge. Data presented here represent the first year of a three year study designed to further our understanding of which organisms (fish and invertebrates) utilize the V. americana habitat. The study addresses how season, salinity, and plant/bed morphometry affect V. americana's faunal community. Activities include sampling during different seasons, and the results are presented. en_US
