dc.description.abstract This report describes activities of a cooperative program between Mote Marine Laboratory and the State of Florida, Florida Marine Research Institute involving research activities of Florida red tide. This amendment represents the third year of a continuing program, which took place between September 1, 2001 and will continue through November 30, 2002. The project focuses on five major areas of study, including red tide HAB (harmful algal blooms) monitoring, the ecology of HAB, the health effects of HAB, socioeconomic aspects of HAB's, and public education and outreach. Research activities within each category are summarized. en_US
