dc.description.abstract This report summarizes sea turtle monitoring by Mote Marine Laboratory's Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Program for the Casey Key shoreline in 2008, immediately following dune restoration activities for the Casey Key Emergency Sand Placement project. Monitoring data are presented to evaluate potential impacts from the project. Sea turtles were monitored to identify critical issues related to the protection of sea turtles, their nesting habitat, nests, and hatchlings. Casey Key shoreline contains 7.3 miles of sea turtle nesting habitat. en_US
