dc.description.abstract This report summarizes sea turtle monitoring by Mote Marine Laboratory's Sea Turtle Conservation Program for the Siesta Key shoreline in 2009, three years following construction activities for the South Siesta Key Beach Restoration Project. Monitoring data is provided for sections of Siesta Key, as well as Casey Key, Florida. Loggerhead turtles accounted for 98% of sea turtle activity and green turtles accounted for the remaining 2%. Hatch and emergence success rates of nesting sea turtles were documented. en_US
