Cape Haze Marine Laboratory. Placida, Florida.

Abstract

This paper describes the establishment of the Cape Haze Marine Laboratory, January 1955, in Placida on Gasparilla Sound, Florida. The purpose of the laboratory is to encourage and develop the study of marine biological sciences and related subjects through scientific research, by the staff and visiting investigators, exchange of scientific information and dissemination of information to the public by way of exhibits, displays, lectures and other public programs.
