dc.description.abstract This article discusses the history of sea turtle studies at Mote Marine Laboratory. Mote's Sea Turtle Research and Conservation Program officially began in 1982. Studies of nesting sea turtles have been done through the years and continue at beaches stretching from from Casperson Beach in southern Venice, Florida to the Sarasota/Manatee County line on Longboat Key. Results of research activities are described. en_US
