Abstract:
This report describes the 1988-1989 contract year activities of the Florida Department of Natural Resources/Mote Marine Laboratory Fish Stock Enhancement Research Project. During this year activities ranged from problem-oriented analyses and research directed at developing or refining techniques for pond management and maintenance, to extensive routine analysis of water chemistry for pond and effluent monitoring, and to provision of substantial manpower for hatchery operations such as pond preparations, maintenance and harvests. Additionally some more independent research activities such as snook spawning, egg/larvae quality assays, freshwater red drum growout studies, and continued physiological studies took place.
