dc.description.abstract Nearshore hard bottom communities were reported during planning for a beach renourishment project on Anna Maria Island in Manatee County, Florida. The renourishment project, to create a beach and toe slope about 4.2 miles in length and 600 feet wide, will bury most or all of these areas. This study was undertaken to locate and identify these communities and assess their environmental value. en_US
