This paper summarizes the agenda and provides abstracts of presentations given during the Charlotte Harbor Conference "Harbor Harvest" Program, October 4-5, 2005, held at Mote Marine Laboratory, Sarasota, Florida. The October conference marks the conclusion of a year of productive research in Charlotte Harbor, Florida, Mote Marine Laboratory's fourth year of field study in a long term, multi-disciplinary investigation of the Harbor. The scientific objective of the Charlotte Harbor Program is to understand and predict how natural and human-caused changes to freshwater quantity and quality will affect the structure, function, and condition of the estuary and its valued ecosystem components. |
