dc.description.abstract This paper summarizes the agenda and provides abstracts of presentations given at the Charlotte Harbor Conference "Discovery in 2001-2002" Program, October 9-10, 2002, at Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, Florida. This conference marks the conclusion of the first year of field study in a long-term multi-disciplinary investigation of Charlotte Harbor, Florida. The scientific objective of the Charlotte Harbor Program is to understand and predict how natural and human-caused changes to freshwater quantity and quality will affect the structure, function, and condition of the estuary and its valued ecosystem components.
