dc.description.abstract	This report summarizes the 4th year of the Sea Turtle Program at Mote Marine laboratory (MML). 1985 activities included the monitoring of the loggerhead (Caretta caretta) sea turtle population in Sarasota County, Florida. A contract was awarded to MML from the Jacksonville Corps of Engineers which required monitoring the disposal sites near four passes for sea turtle activity. The passes were to be dredged during the sea turtle season and any nests deposited on the disposal sites were to be moved to safety.
