dc.description.abstract This report is the second and final part of introductory investigations in the tidal Myakka River, Sarasota and Manatee Counties, Florida. It led from recognition of the role a predictable withdrawal of water from the river could play in providing a diverse and dependable water supply. This report and a companion hydrological assessment underway will serve as the basis for design of a long-term investigation of specific processes in the river, for the purposes of anticipating and avoiding adverse estuarine impacts of water resources development.
