dc.description.abstract This study was undertaken as part of an attempt to understand the stock identity of the cobia, Rachycentron canadum, in the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic. Mote Marine Laboratory (MMLI and Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) personnel worked together to provide age and growth information, develop an age/length key and obtain data on reproduction of cobia captured off the southeast coast of the United States from North Carolina to the Florida Keys and in the Gulf of Mexico from the Florida Gulf Coast to the coast of Texas. This report outlines MML's success in achieving the above-mentioned goals. en_US
