Abstract:
Preparation of this bibliography was undertaken to support development of a management plan for Naples Bay and adjacent waters. Citations include literature on geology, hydrology, water
quality and biology from the area bounded by Wiggin's Pass in the north, eastward by the Big Cypress Preserve, and in the south by
Marco Island. Marco Island literature was included when it did not duplicate themes already covered in similar areas closer to Naples Bay.
The 152 entries in this bibliography cover the period from [1947] - 1989. Citations were compiled from the DIALOG information
service's BIOSIS Previews, Aquatic Science Abstracts, Georef, Enviroline, Environmental Bibliography, Oceanic Abstracts, Water
Resources Abstracts, Waternet, and NTIS databases. Bibliographies of local and regional government reports, consultant 's reports, and environmental impact studies were also inspected and many useful
references discovered.
