Abstract:

This letter is part of the correspondence between the Bass Biological Laboratory and various political and governmental figures, particularly at the state level. These letters include the exchange of data, materials, and information on biological subjects and problems during the 1930s. This letter to George W. Davis discusses a report from the Bass lab's investigation of the destruction of the sponge beds at Tarpon Springs, Florida.
