Abstract:
This letter is part of the correspondence between the Bass Biological Laboratory and various political and governmental figures, particularly at the state level. These letters include the exchange of data, materials, and information on biological subjects and problems during the 1930s. This letter to John F. Bass Jr. acknowledges a shipment of the 'Australian ladybeetle,' Vedalia, in order to control an outbreak of cottony-cushion scale in Bass' orange trees.
