Abstract:
This letter is part of the correspondence between the Bass Biological Laboratory and various political and governmental figures, particularly at the United States Bureau of Fisheries. These letters include the exchange of data, materials, and information on biological subjects and problems during the 1930s. This letter to John F. Bass Jr. discusses Bass' interest in studying marine biology and ideas for getting the Bass lab started. It appears that Higgins is offering to assist Bass in starting the program for the laboratory as well as providing information and instruction in the field for Bass himself.
