This letter is part of the correspondence between the Bass Biological Laboratory and various political and governmental figures, particularly at the United States Bureau of Fisheries. These letters include the exchange of data, materials, and information on biological subjects and problems during the 1930s. This letter to John F. Bass Jr. discusses the sea turtle conservation ideas proposed by Bass, commercial uses for turtles and turtle eggs, and Bass' suggestions on how to protect hatchlings to increase populations along Florida's coast. |
