Abstract:
This letter is part of the correspondence between the Bass Biological Laboratory and various political and governmental figures, particularly at the United States Bureau of Fisheries. These letters include the exchange of data, materials, and information on biological subjects and problems during the 1930s. This item is part of a series of letters concerning the depletion of oyster beds in Apalachicola, potentially due to a parasitic flatworm, commonly referred to as an 'oyster leech.' This letter to Frank T. Bell also includes a list of publications by the Bureau of Fisheries already in the Bass library.
