dc.description.abstract This letter is part of the correspondence between the Bass Biological Laboratory and various political and governmental figures, particularly at the United States Bureau of Fisheries. These letters include the exchange of data, materials, and information on biological subjects and problems during the 1930s. This item is part of a series of letters concerning research on the depletion of oyster beds. This particular item discusses a problem with oysters in Apalachicola potentially due to a parasitic flatworm, commonly referred to as an 'oyster leech.'
