Abstract:
This letter is part of the correspondence between the Bass Biological Laboratory and various political and governmental figures, particularly at the United States Bureau of Fisheries. These letters include the exchange of data, materials, and information on biological subjects and problems during the 1930s. This letter to Senator Duncan Fletcher gives a brief history of the Bass lab, its role in the field, fellowships, and the work the lab had done for the Bureau of Fisheries. The letter requests resources for the Bass library, particularly the Proceedings of the U. S. National Museum, and to be put on the U. S. Bureau of Fisheries' mailing list for back and future publications.
