This letter to J. Lear Grimmer discusses improving relationships between the Bass lab in Englewood, Florida, and John F. Bass Jr.'s Chicago office. The Bass Biological Laboratory was a functioning research laboratory as well as a biological collecting and field station. The lab was located in Englewood, Florida, and operated during the 1930s and 1940s.
