Abstract:

This letter to the Bass Biological Laboratory in Englewood, Florida, discusses John F. Bass Jr.'s collecting in Mexico and his plans to send specimens to the Bass lab. The Bass Biological Laboratory was a functioning research laboratory as well as a biological collecting and field station. The lab was located in Englewood, Florida, and operated during the 1930s and 1940s.
