dc.description.abstract This letter to John F. Bass Jr. from the Bureau of Biological Survey is a response to an earlier letter from Bass to the United States Department of Agriculture regarding the necessary forms and permits for shipping live mammals and birds from Mexico by express, and possible ways to expedite procedures at the port of entry to the United States. This item also includes a sample of species not allowed into the United States under any circumstances, or under very limited and strictly regulated circumstances, such as types of birds, particularly migratory birds, rats, mice, bats, foxes, and any animal in the fruit bat or mongoose families. en_US
