Abstract:
This item is part of a series of operational records from the Zoological Research Supply Company, specifically regarding permits and licenses. The ZRS served as the profit-making subsidiary of the Bass Biological Laboratory, and operated in the mid to late 1930s and early 1940s. This letter is addressed to the United States Public Health Service and discusses a toxin found in arthritis and rheumatism that the ZRS hopes to put on the market. Powell requests an application for a license and outlines the basic plan for processing and testing, either in conjunction with Sharp and Dohme of Pennsylvania or G. H. Sherman, M. D. Inc. of Detroit, Michigan.
