Abstract:

This letter to Harry Burr Ferris of Yale University discusses scientists who had visited the Bass lab and their research topics, such as avian malaria. The letter also discusses questions regarding Albula, which they referred to as ladyfish. Albula belong to the family Albulidae (bonefishes) while ladyfish belong to the family Elopidae (tenpounders).
