dc.description.abstract This item is part of a series of photographs from a scrapbook created by Donald Joseph Zinn, an employee and later a research fellow at the Bass lab. These images were most likely taken in 1934 while Zinn worked at the lab. Many of the photographs have either a caption in the scrapbook, notes on the back of the photograph, or both. The alternate title listed above comes from the caption in the scrapbook, while the back caption on the photograph reads "This is the shark I hooked one night about 1A.M. Took an hour and 15 minutes to pull in." This photo was taken, presumably with Zinn's camera, on the Bass lab dock on Lemon Bay. en
